Case Studies

The FilePrint solution offers numerous opportunities to deliver print, below are several case studies of affiliates' implementation of the technology.

Cheap-Print-Store.co.uk

Cheap-Print-Store.co.uk wanted to develop an independent front end to their print solution, giving them the ability to control how their products are displayed.  This has been achieved by using various web services to control the connectivity between their site and FilePrint. The various features of FilePrint are displayed:

  • Templates
  • Login
  • PDF Upload

When a customer activates one of these, they are presented with interim page asking if they are a new user or their login details; the user then passes to the FilePrint solution in a separate window.  This transaction is maintained in a cookie so that next time the user activates the link it is instantaneous.

Green Street

Green Street sell print related applications, that effectively allow the consumer to create their own business cards, calendars, etc.  Originally, the Green Street model was based around output to a local desktop printer and to charge the user a small licence fee for the software.  However, this was changed to FREE software and Green Street looked to make their revenue from print, via FilePrint.  Green Street's software effectively produce a PDF, which is then registered and ordered using web services.

Cannonbury

Cannonbury are an organisation who moved to a paperless offices system, but still needed to send large volumes of legal documents to their customers.  This issue was solved by producing all mail as PDFs and then automatically registering and sending them via the FilePrint web service.

This solution is fully automatic, with Cannonbury's backend office solution generating and registering the mail, whilst FilePrint automatically pushes the files to press.
